The
Day Centre
In addition to acting as a social club, the Day Centre also enables our members
to indulge their love of art, computers, woodwork, cards, dominoes, embroidery
and board games. The Day Centre members also contribute to CPC's educational
work with disabled children and adults.
In recent years, our members have provided a wide variety of gifts and decorations
for fundraising events including paintings, models and a patchwork quilt for
our charity auctions. The occasional day outings to coastal resorts such as
Whitstable and Leysdown also provide a welcome break from the immediate community.
Who would use the Day Centre?
The CPC Day Centre is open to disabled people aged over 30 (subject to assessment),
on Monday's and Wednesday's (between 10am and 3pm). The Centre provides a welcome
break from the confines of home, where members can meet regularly for something
as simple as a chat over a cup of tea
